Although in the summer they normally do not even leave our wardrobes, coats are an essential garment throughout the year. Whilst mostly used to shelter the little ones from low temperatures during autumn and winter, coats are still used in spring and even in late summer.

The start of autumn sees kids go back to school, and with this comes the need to find a coat that is perfect for these cool, crisp mornings. Parkas are a great choice for this period, as they are great for the months before the cold, winter weather finally kicks in. 

Anoraks or padded coats are the perfect option to wear on a daily basis. For this reason, at Mayoral we opt for synthetic fillers. They will keep the girls protected from the low temperatures and, in addition, should not harm their health.  

Anoraks work phenomenally well when combined with a school uniform or even a tracksuit, as they are a very versatile garment that goes with all kinds of outfits. Our proposal: combine an anorak with a flowy dress, tights and faux fur lined boots for a chic look. 

Padded gilets are a practical, sporty option for the months when the temperatures are not too low. They can also be worn underneath a coat for an extra layer of warmth. Formal coats or cloth coats are perfect for the most special occasions, such as ceremonies, formal events or festive celebrations in which kids and parents alike, wear their best clothes to celebrate and laugh. They also work very well with classic outfits. Wear this style of jacket over a Peter Pan collar blouse that stands out under a plain knit jumper, along with a pleated, tartan print skirt, tights and ballerina pumps.
